Using the site
The site is free to read, for personal, educational and devotional use. You may share and reuse its content as described on the Licenses & Credits page.
About the verses we present
We present verses from the scriptures of several monotheistic Traditions, each in its original language alongside a translation. We group them under shared themes: devotion to the one God, certainty in the Hereafter, and righteous living.
- Showing a verse does not mean that any Tradition, religious body or rights-holder endorses this site.
- Presenting verses from several Traditions side by side does not mean we endorse one Tradition’s interpretation over another’s, or claim that the Traditions teach the same things in every respect.
- Each verse is presented under its own Tradition’s name and in its own words.
Translations
Some pages and verses are machine-translated and are labeled as such. Machine translations may contain errors. Where a translation differs:
- for our own text, the English version takes precedence;
- for scripture, the original text takes precedence.

The site links to other websites, such as the sources of scripture texts. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
