Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

This policy explains what personal information OneGodOneMessage.org collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by One God One Message, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and US 501(c)(3) organization (“we”, “us”).

Contact: info@onegodonemessage.org. For privacy requests, please start the subject line with “Privacy request”.

The short version

  • You can read the whole site without giving us anything.
  • We collect personal information only when you join our mailing list or write to us through the contact form.
  • Our website uses no cookies, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no analytics profiles. We count page visits in aggregate only.
  • We never sell or rent personal information, and we never use it for anything except the purpose you gave it for.

What we collect and why

When you browse

We do not collect personal information when you browse. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, necessarily sees your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not store IP addresses ourselves, and we keep Cloudflare’s logs for the shortest period it offers.

To learn which pages are read and how fast they load, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views, the pages people arrive from, countries and page-load speed. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not collect personal data or build profiles of visitors. We see only totals.

When you join the mailing list

We collect:

  • your email address;
  • the language you want our Newsletter in;
  • the date and time you confirmed your subscription.

We ask for no name. You confirm by clicking a link we email you (“double opt-in”). We use this information only to send you our Newsletter. Our email provider, Brevo, may count how many of our emails are opened and which links are clicked. Wherever Brevo lets us, we switch this off or make it anonymous, so it is not linked to you.

When you use the contact form

We collect:

  • a name (optional; any name or pseudonym is fine);
  • your email address (optional; only if you want a reply);
  • the topic you choose;
  • your message;
  • the language of the page you wrote from.

Your message is delivered as an email to our mailbox. It is not stored in any database. A security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) helps confirm that a person, not an automated program, is sending the form.

Who processes your information for us

We use a small number of service providers. Each one may process personal information only on our instructions.

Provider What they do for us Where
Cloudflare, Inc. Hosting, security, aggregate page-visit counts (Web Analytics), the Turnstile check on forms, and delivering contact-form messages to our mailbox Global network; US company
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) Stores the mailing list and sends the Newsletter and confirmation emails EU (France/Germany/Belgium)
Proton AG Our organizational mailbox, which receives contact-form messages and your emails Switzerland

Google Cloud Translation machine-translates our own content (site text and published translations of scripture) into other languages. No visitor messages, email addresses or mailing-list data are ever sent to Google.

Where information is transferred outside your country, we rely on the provider’s data processing agreement and recognized safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. We then delete your details from Brevo. Only a scrambled (hashed) form of your address remains on a do-not-email list, so you are never mailed again by mistake.
  • Contact-form messages and emails to us: deleted 12 months after our conversation ends.
  • Cloudflare logs: the shortest retention Cloudflare offers.

Cookies and browser storage

We use no cookies. The site stores one small item in your browser only if you ask it to: that you dismissed the language-suggestion banner, so it doesn’t reappear. Nothing in your browser is read by us or sent to us.

Do Not Track

Because we do not track visitors across sites or over time, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We treat every visitor as if those signals were on.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it, or withdraw your consent (for example, by unsubscribing from the Newsletter, which you can also do with the link in every email).

Email info@onegodonemessage.org with “Privacy request” at the start of the subject line. We will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address concerned. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Age

The site can be read by anyone. The mailing list and contact form are for people 16 or older. If we learn that someone younger has given us personal information, we will delete it.

Security

Our providers encrypt data in transit, and our accounts use two-factor or passkey sign-in. Only the people who run the organization can read the mailbox and the mailing list.

Translations of this policy

This policy may be shown in other languages through machine translation. If a translation differs from the English text, the English version governs.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will also mention it in the next Newsletter.
