Traditions/Religions
This site presents scriptures from monotheistic Traditions: Traditions that teach the worship of one God. Choosing which Traditions to include is an editorial decision, made with these principles:
- One God: the Tradition teaches worship of the one unseen God.
- Its own scriptures: the Tradition has scriptures we can show in their original language, from a published edition we may lawfully reproduce, with a translation.
- In its own words: we present verses as they are written. We do not interpret them, and we do not claim that any Tradition agrees with our selection.
- No ranking: the order of Traditions on this page is for display only and says nothing about their worth.
We plan to add more Traditions, including Zoroastrianism and the Bahá’í Faith, as reliable editions and translations become available. If you would like to suggest a Tradition or a scripture, please contact us.
